8-Week Wee Sign Together Interactive Course
Currently, our Wee Sign Together Course consists of 8-week sessions, which meet once a week for 45 minutes. This interactive parent/child participation class includes learning 10- 20 signs per week based on a theme characteristic of events in their daily routine, such as meal time, bedtime, bath time etc. The course was designed by a team of speech-language pathologists to enhance speech, language, and communication development for infants 6 months to 2 years of age. Learning takes place in an active, social atmosphere involving movement, exploration, pictures, and music. Through guided interactions, parents learn simple signs, and are shown how to turn daily routines into communication-rich experiences.
Parents are provided with a Wee Sign Parent Handbook, which includes pictures of persons demonstrating signs and are categorized by the weekly theme. Also included in the Wee Sign Parent Handbook are course syllabus, songs, games, activities and teaching tips.
Cost of an 8 week Course is $160 + a $20 materials fee. Classes are offered in a variety of settings and may also be offered to your group at a parent’s home in the area of your preference. Our instructors can easily transport class materials to present the 8 week series in your own living room! Wee Sign "Parents Only" Workshops
We also offer a One Time/Two Hour Workshop for busy or working parents to learn the basics of signing with their babies in one shot! Some parents like to use the Parents Only Workshop to “get their feet wet” in the world of baby sign language before embarking on the 8 week Wee Sign Together Series. This workshop includes our 132 page Wee Sign Parent Handbook. Pictures of the most important signs necessary for teaching your child are separated into Thematic Chapters. Parents will be taught between 40 to 50 signs and tips for the most effective ways to introduce signing to your child. We will even give you the opportunity to practice your newly acquired signing skills with songs. Family members, Nannies and Caregivers are encouraged to attend, making the experience of using sign with your baby the most rewarding! Workshops are $65 per couple or $40 per individual. Workshops may also be hosted at a parent’s home with your friends! Group discounts offered for playgroups of 7 or more families and Parent Connection Members.

Private In-Home Instruction
Wee Sign instructors are also able to provide one-on- one instruction with you and your baby in your own home. Our In-Home instruction includes our Wee Sign Parent Handbook and music CD and will introduce all of the signs included in our "Parents Only" Workshop. Our Wee Sign Instructor will demonstrate how to best present signing to your child and suggest resources for continuing to teach sign language to your baby.
The cost is $125 for a 120-minute session. Included in the cost of your private session is complete access to the Wee Sign Program Coordinator at any time.
